Cops: Man Attacks Long Beach Taxi Driver

By Adina Genn

A man is facing robbery charges for an incident that took place in Bayville on Sunday, authorities said.

Nassau detectives say Kyle J. Johnston, 20, of Bayville, had taken a taxi from Long Beach to his Bayville home Sunday afternoon. When they arrived, Johnston refused to pay the fare, and an argument ensued. When the driver got out of the car, Johnston, threw him to the ground “and began to punch and kick the victim in the face,” police said, in a statement.
