Cops: Man in Military Hat Robs Bank

Baldwin Bank of America robbed Wednesday morning, cops said.

Nassau County Police released surveillance footage of a man they say held up a Baldwin bank Wednesday morning.

Cops said the man entered Bank of America on Atlantic Avenue, approached a teller, and handed over a note demanding money at 11:15 a.m. The teller cooperated and gave the robber an unknown amount of cash, cops said. He reportedly fled east on Atlantic Avenue.

Three employees and three customers were in the bank at the time of the holdup, cops said. No one was injured.

The robber was described as a black man in his 30s. He was wearing a green fatigue bucket hat, green long-sleeved pullover shirt, and jeans at the time.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
