Cops: Man Robs Bank, Flees in Taxi on South Shore
Oceanside bank robbed Monday morning; cops looking for witnesses.
Nassau County Police are searching for a bank robber they say struck on the South Shore Monday morning.
Detectives said the unknown man hit Roslyn Savings Bank on Long Beach Road in Oceanside Monday at 9:29 a.m.
While inside the bank, the subject approached a female teller and handed her a note demanding cash, cops said. The teller cooperated and handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

The five employees and one customer who were inside the bank at the time were not harmed.
The man got into a minivan taxi and rode south on Long Beach Road, cops said.

The subject was described as a white man, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, and had a thin build. He was wearing a blue or black t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers at the time of the robbery.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about this robbery to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
