Aaron Kozlowski, 31, a physical education teacher at North Shore Middle School, was caught watching gay pornography on his computer and fondling himself by four middle school students, ages 12-13, according to detectives. The alleged incident happened in his office at the middle school in February.

“This did not happen,” attorney Rick Ostrove, who is representing Kozlowski, told Patch. “These are four kids who made up a story and are sticking to it. Some of these kids had disciplinary problems. And one of them was overheard cursing about Aaron, his teacher, and saying negative things about him shortly before coming up with this story.”

The students did not report the incident until recently, police said.

Kozlowski, a physical education teacher since 2004 and former North Shore High School boys lacrosse coach, surrendered to police in Williston Park Friday afternoon.

Kozlowski, charged with four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, was released without bail Saturday after being arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead.

“It’s a shame that someone with a completely unblemished history has been subjected to these false charges by a small group of middle school kids,” Ostrove said.

Ostrove stressed that Kozlowski, who is engaged, had no prior criminal record as well as a positive performance history at the school. His attorney said computer records will exonerate the teacher.

Kozlowski was also an assistant coach on Long Island’s gold medal-winning Empire State Games boys lacrosse team in 2010. He is currently on leave from his job.
