Cops: Woman Served Minors Cotton Candy-Flavored Vodka


A Long Beach woman was was arrested and charged with seven counts of acting in a manor injurious to a child less than 17 years old and seven counts of unlawfully dealing with a child, an alcohol-related charge on Oct. 15

According to Long Beach police, Kimberly Ossandon, 38, knowingly purchased and served for consumption a bottle of cotton candy-flavored Pinnacle vodka, an alcoholic beverage, to seven 14-years old children on Sept. 16.

One of teenage girl became highly intoxicated, which necessitated that the she receive emergency medical treatment by the Long Beach Fire Department, who transported her to Long Beach Medical Center, where she was treated in the emergency room, according to Sgt. Eric Cregeen, a police spokesman.

“The LBPD takes this type of criminal activity very seriously,” Cregeen said. “Working in conjunction with the Coalition to Prevent Underage Drinking, we will ensure that the residents of our city are aware that underage drinking is not a minor problem.”
