Police Arrest Four, Seize Over $100,000 in Narcotics and Loan Sharking Raid in West End

Long Beach home turned into crime scene Monday morning.

A West End resident and three fellow Long Island men were arrested in a drug- and loan sharking-related enterprises in Long Beach Monday morning.

According to a Long Beach Police Department press release, Brian O’Neill, 51, of Minnesota Avenue; Arthur Corso, 48; and John Amabile, both of Island Park; and Richard Gould, 42, of Baldwin were arrested Nov. 7.

While their charges were not listed on the press release, the LBPD, the release stated, “in conjunction with the Nassau County Police Department, the Nassau County District Attorney's Office, and the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) conducted a lengthy narcotics and loan sharking enterprise investigation that culminated with the arrests of O'Neill, Corso and Gould. During the course of investigation three automobiles and over $100,000 in United States Currency were seized.”

The defendants will be arraigned in Long Beach City Court on Nov. 8.

Deputy Inspector Bruce Meyer, the LBPD’s public information officer, was unavaibale for further comment Monday.
