The department received a call Oct. 26 about the burglary at a home on the 200 block of East Beech St., between Long Beach and Monroe boulevards, some time between 8 a.m. that morning and the previous day, Lt. Eric Cregeen, an LBPD spokesman, told Patch.
“The complainant stated a laptop computer and television were removed from the residence while they were sleeping,” Cregeen said. “The complainant further stated that a rear sliding glass door on the first floor of the house was opened.”
The owner of the burglarized home, who contacted Patch about the incident, said that his wife and their 20-month-old baby were sleeping when the suspect broke through a sliding door in the basement and stole a large-screen television and a laptop.
