Loop Parkway Bridge Reopened After Getting Stuck

Loop Parkway Bridge gets stuck in the upright position during afternoon rush.

The Loop Parkway Bridge malfunctioned Wednesday afternoon and got stuck in the upright position, according to Nassau County Police.

Cops released an alert just before 5 p.m. Wednesday that the bridge connecting the Meadowbrook State Parkway and Point Lookout malfunctioned.

At 5:10 p.m., police said the bridge had been reopened.
