Police seek help in identifying suspect who fled with cash from fast food restaurant.


A masked man robbed a fast food restaurant in Oceanside on Sunday afternoon.

According to Nassau County Police Department, a white male subject entered Burger King, 3190 Long Beach Rd., and ordered a burger, left the store and returned five minutes later wearing a mask that covered his face and he ordered another burger at about 4:55 p.m. Jan. 5.

When the cashier opened the register, the suspect walked behind the counter and removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the drawer. He left the store and fled eastbound on Weidner Avenue in a black Honda with tape covering white New York State license plates.

At the time of this robbery there were four employees and no customers in the store. No injuries were reported.
