Police: Arrest Made in Murder of Long Beach Man

Police still looking for second man involved in stabbing death of 23-year-old Ramone Green last month.

A Hempstead man was arrested on Saturday and charged in the stabbing death of 23-year-old Ramone Green, of Long Beach, last month, police said. 

Raymond Wade, 23, is charged with second degree murder stemming from an incident in Uniondale on the morning of Feb. 7. Police said Green was approached by Wade and another man and "stabbed about his body." 

Green was taken to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead less than an hour later after the stabbing, which occurred in front of Hansen Cleaners at 433 Jerusalem Avenue.

Wade will be arraigned on Sunday in First District Court in Hempstead. Police are still looking for the second man believed to be involved in the stabbing. Anyone with information regarding the second individual can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
