Police: Long Beach Man Stole ATM Machine From Bank

A Long Beach man has been arrested for stealing an ATM machine from a bank in Rockland County, authorities said. 

Salvatore Maiolo, 63, faces four felony charges: third-degree burglary, third-degree grand larceny, second-degree criminal mischief, and third-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

He was arrested at 6:45 a.m. on Tuesday as a result of an investigation conducted by the Clarkstown Police Detective Bureau for the burglary of the ATM that occurred on Jan. 5 at the Key Bank in Central Nyack, police said. 

The Clarkstown Crime Scene Unit collected forensic evidence from the scene that led to the arrest of Maiolo, police said. 

Maiolo was arraigned in Clarkstown Criminal Court and sent to the Rockland County Jail. He will appear in court again on Friday, police said.
