Police Report: Arrests for Prohibited Sale of Alcohol, Assault Officer, DWI

The following information was supplied by the Long Beach Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrests                

• Gail Gillespie, 43, of Long Beach was arrested and charged with prohibited sale of alcoholic beverage at CVS, 310 W. Park Ave. in Long Beach, on Jan. 24. According to the Long Beach Police Department, on that date three officers and a 20-year-old agent were working Project 21, and during an assignment the agent was able to purchase a six-pack of beer from Gillespie, a store clerk at CVS. Gillespie was issued a summons for the Violation of ABC Code 65-1, Prohibited Sale of Alcoholic Beverage to an individual under the age of 21. This is the third arrest of this kind that the LBPD has reported in recent weeks.

• Muhammad Razi, 26, of Long Beach was arrested and charged with falsifying business records and petit larceny at East Park Avenue on Jan. 22.
  
  
• Danielle Sicari, 29, of Valley Stream was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license and a suspended registration at East Park Avenue on Jan. 23.
  
  
• Richard Cardoza, 50, of Middle Island was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license at East Park Avenue on Jan. 24.

• Arturo Zitarosa, 53, of Wantagh was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI, and assault with intent to cause injury to a police officer at National Boulevard and West Park Avenue on Jan. 24.

• Robert Shannon, 38, of Long Beach was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct at West Park Avenue on Jan. 24.

• Deandre Butler, 20, of Long Beach was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and unlawful possession of marijuana at Long Beach Boulevard on Jan. 24.

• Edilberto Trujillo, 49, of Oceanside was arrested and charged with criminal possession of stolen property at Long Beach Police Department headquarters on Jan. 26.

• Khizer Hayat, 24, of Flushing was arrested and charged with burglary at East Chester Street on Jan. 26.

• Muhammad Qutab, 24, of Elmont was arrested and charged with burglary and an active warrant at East Chester Street on Jan. 26.

• Jonathan Garcia, 20, of Hempstead was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI and driving without a license at East Hudson Street and Monroe Boulevard on Jan. 26.

• Elliot Reisman, 46, of Woodmere was arrested and charged with driving while impaired by drugs, criminal possession of a stimulant, and possession of a hypodermic instrument at Long Beach Boulevard and East Walnut Street on Jan. 26.
  
  
• Mark Healey, 41, of Long Beach was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated at West Park Avenue and New York Avenue on Jan. 26.

• Wilmer Arias, 27, of Island Park was arrested and charged with grand larceny at West Park Avenue on Jan. 27.
  
  
• James Edwards, 21, of Long Beach was arrested and charged with criminal possession of marijuana on East Fulton Street and Riverside Boulevard on Jan. 27.
