Police Report: Arrests for Trespassing, Harassment, DWI

LBPD-NCPD blotters on Long Beach-related incidents.


The following information was supplied by the Long Beach Police Department/Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

  • Jaime Canino, 23, of Oceanside was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated at Lido Boulevard in Lido Beach on May 4.
  • Bryan See, 21, of Seaford was arrested and charged with driving while impaired by drugs at West Park Avenue on May 3.
  • Jack Merchant, 57, of Long Beach was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest at West Park Avenue on May 4.
  • Michael Maguffin, 51, of Long Beach was arrested and charged with driving while impaired by drugs at Park Place and West Park Avenue on May 4.
  • Michael Barong, 29, of Long Beach was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license at Riverside Boulevard and East Penn Street on May 4.
  • Jamison Fiedor, 25, of Huntington was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated at West Park Avenue on May 5.
  • Mariusz Polakowski, 35, of Brooklyn was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated at West Park and National Boulevard on May 5.
  • Diana Melton, 62, of Long Beach was arrested and charged with driving while impaired by drugs at Riverside Boulevard and East Walnut Street on May 5.
  • Deangelo Gibson, 19, of West Hempstead was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing and criminal mischief at West Beech Street on May 6.
  • Robert Trialonas, 31, of Freeport was arrested and charged with driving with impaired by drugs at East Park Avenue on May 6.
  • Darrell Page, 40, of Long Beach was arrested and charged with driving with a revoked license at East Park Avenue on May 7.
  • Juan-Carlos Elvir, 34, of Long Beach was arrested and charged with harassment at East Broadway on May 7.
  • Devare Wilson, 35, of Long Beach was arrested and charged with possession of a forged instrument on May 1.
  • A 17-year-old from Long Beach was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing at Michigan Street on May 2.
  • Thomas Moran, 44, of Long Beach was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and an active warrant was West Beech Street and Louisiana Street on May 2.

I am slightly concerned with the multiple arrests for being "impaired by drugs". What drugs are they impaired by? I certainly hope these cops don't hassle me for being a little stoned (Cannibis) or they'll have me on their hands.

i saw the arrest where he was impaired on drugs he was driving on the bayside of edwards going north and he drove over the memorial into the parking lot on park ave

Wow!! What a busy week for our beloved police officers. They definitely deserve a raise for their hard work keeping our City residents safe from dangerous, predatory motorists.
