Strippers Accused of Drugging Wealthy Men, Running Up Credit Cards

Wealthy men were drugged, in some cases on Long Island, and then driven to New York City strip clubs, where their credit cards were charged for thousands of dollars, authorities said Wednesday. 

The alleged scheme was run by a group of New York City strippers, who met the men in the city or on Long Island at upscale bars and then drugged the mens' drinks with Molly, a form of ecstasy, ketamine or cocaine, according to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s New York Division. 

Once the men were drugged, they were then driven to Scores in Manhattan or the RoadHouse in Flushing. Some of the men, including a cardiologist, who was sued by Scores for $135,303 for unpaid services, say they have no memory of even being in the strip club, according to WCBS 880. 

If the men tried to dispute the charges, the strippers would threaten to go public with "sexually explicit photos" of the men in compromising positions, the New York Post reported. 

Five people–a strip club manager and four dancers–are charged with grand larceny, conspiracy, assault and forgery stemming from an undercover investigation, the DEA said. 

“This repugnant scheme involved not only the theft of $200,000, but compromised the health, safety and security of victims by covertly giving them harmful substances,” said Bridget G. Brennan, New York City’s special narcotics prosecutor, in a DEA news release. “The defendants were banking on the victims being too afraid to contact the police, but as the indictment and arrests show, they made a serious miscalculation.”
