Teens Charged with Attempted Robbery on Long Beach Bridge

Three juveniles were charged with attempted robbery for an incident on the Long Beach Bridge on Friday.

According to Nassau County Police Department, two 14-year-old males, a 15-year-old male and a fourth male, who is still at large, were riding bicycles southbound on the bridge when they approached a 21-year-old male and forced him to kneel to the ground at about 7:45 p.m. Oct. 26.

The foursome unsuccessfully attempted to take the victims iPhone before fleeing on their bikes northbound on Long Beach Road in Island Park. No injuries are reported.

The three juveniles were arrested without incident and charged with second-degree robbery near 3463 Long Beach Road in Oceanside. They are scheduled to appear in Family Court in Mineola Nov. 8.
