City Council Agenda April 16: Budget Proposal, Zoning Board Appointee

The Long Beach City Council will hold a regular meeting at 7 p.m. April 16 at City Hall, at 1 W. Chester St. The following is the agenda for the meeting:

2. Resolution Granting Waiver of Off-Street Parking Requirements Re: Premises 369 East Park Avenue, (street floor), Long Beach, New York. Re: Indoor Cycle Studio (Health Club)

3. Resolution Confirming the Appointment of a Member to the Zoning Board of Appeals of the City of Long Beach. (Appointee: Stuart Banschick)

Legislative Memo: This appointment fills a vacant term, expiring January 2, 2016.

4. Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Purchase a Compact Sports Utility Vehicle from the Sole Responsible Bidder.

Legislative Memo: As a result of Superstorm Sandy, numerous City owned vehicles were submerged in flood waters and need to be replaced. The Long Beach Auxiliary Police vehicle that we are replacing functioned for some time until it failed from salt water exposure. 5. Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Enter into an Agreement for Safety Surface Repairs and Replacement at Various Locations within the City from the Lowest Responsible Bidder.

Legislative Memo: As a result of Superstorm Sandy, six playgrounds and parks throughout the City sustained water damage requiring repairs to the safety surfaces.

6. Resolution Authorizing Publication of the General Summary of the Capital Improvement Program for the Next Five Years, and Notice of Public Hearing Thereon.

7. Resolution Authorizing Publication of the General Summary of the Proposed Budget for Year July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014, and Notice of Public Hearings Thereon.
