City Council Agenda for Oct. 15: $1.1M Disaster Recovery Block Grant

The following is the Long Beach City Council agenda for the Oct. 15 meeting:

1) Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Accept and Enter into an Agreement for a Disaster Recovery Block Grant for $1,131,300 in Order to Expedite Post-Storm Permits, Code Inspections and Certificates of Occupancy for Those Homeowners Directly Affected by Superstorm Sandy.

Legislative Memo: Congress has appropriated funds for the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (“CDBG-DR”) Program. Said funds will be used to provide more Building Department services to those homeowners directly affected by Superstorm Sandy.
