While nobody expects New York to swing Republican in the presidential election, the Empire State plays a big role when it comes to fundraising for both sides of the ticket.
From $50,000 a plate fundraisers in the Hamptons
to triple-digit donations from households across the state, New York is an influential region for filling campaign war chests. But how do these donations break down?
Patch has created an interactive database so you can see how much your neighbors are donating to the presidential campaign — and to which candidate they’re writing their checks. We’ve included communities across New York, so if you want to see what the campaign contributions in nearby towns are like, go right aheadClick here to search the database.
The information in the database was downloaded from the Federal Election Commission’s website. The data is based on quarterly reports, and is current through July. The data will be updated in mid-October.
