Free Seminar Explains Obamacare

Residents can learn about what they need to know now about changes coming in health care coverage at the free seminar, "What You Need to Know Right Now About the Affordable Care Act ('Obamacare')". The program will be held on Sept. 24, at NCBA's a building in Mineola at 7 p.m.

Back-to-School Supply Drive

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano is partnering with Island Harvest in collecting school supplies for hundreds of students still in need. County buildings, including those in Mineola, Hempstead, and Westbury, will have receptacles for donations of backpacks and all the tools a student requires to prepare for the school year. Click here for more.
