Long Beach Shelter Animals of the Week: Christmas & Tank

This kitty and pooch are looking for loving homes.

Christmas the cat was taken from a house that burned down on New Year's Eve in Long Beach. She was the only pet that survived the fire (two others perished) and she's looking for a new and loving home. She is about 3- to 4-years-old and incredibly affectionate and social with both animals and people.

Tank is a 5-year-old Labrador/Pit Bull mix that was found tied to a tree and left with a bag of dog food. He is social with dogs, but selective; incredibly sweet and loving with people, but also very strong. He is also blind in one eye.

To learn how you can adopt this pooch and kitty, contact the Long Beach/Rescue Ink Animal Shelter at 770 Park Pl., or call 516-665-9050.
