Nassau County Temporary Districting Advisory Commission (NCTDAC) will hold a meeting on the possible re-drawing of Long Beach's district lines for Nassau County government based on the 2010 census.
The 2011 redistricting map showed a line drawn around Long Beach that attached Long Beach to Seaford and disconnected Long Beach from Island Park. Long Beach and Island Park parents send their children to Long Beach High School, and the potential redrawing of the map could impact that partnership.
Residents who attend the meeting will have the opportunity to address the commission, or submit any questions or ideas in writing.
