All vehicular traffic other than buses will now enter LBHS from Blackheath Road in Lido Beach and proceed to the main entrance along the bay or north side of the building, the Long Beach School District announced this week.

As such, students will exit their vehicles on the same side as the school entrance, helping to ensure their safety by not having to cross in front of arriving cars to enter the building, the district said.

Vehicles will exit the school grounds through the north of two gates at Lagoon Drive West. Buses will enter the south gate at Lagoon Drive West and keep left along the drive between the gym and main building, exactly as they did previously.

The high school and all district schools open for classes Sept. 9.
