To all my surfing friends PLEASE remember that the waves will be quite large and only the best fit surfers should try to go out AFTER the storm has left.To all my friends that will be heading out to surf some large swells remember some basic rules.
1.never go out alone, the buddy system works great and make sure your buddy know where you are at all times.
2.Know your limited as these waves along with you being in a wetsuit will add restrictions to your paddling.
3.if getting out is to hard, wait till the waves calm down , its mothers natures way of telling you to wait till it drops.
4.Make sure your cord is new, old cords are stretched out and will break at the worst times.
5. know your breaks, during large swells waves tend to break differently and much further out.
6.Make sure you have a cell on the beach in case help is needed, this time of the year there are no life guards on duty and help will be harder to reach.
These simple rules will save your life, nothing is worth drowning, nothing so remember these waves are only for the very best and even they know you and drowned very easily.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask and I will answer them,
Elliot
