BOE Meeting 

The Long Beach Board of Education will hold a meeting at Middle School at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. (The meeting was originally scheduled to be held at West School.)

Public Meeting on Medical Center's Status

A public forum on the status of the Long Beach Medical Center will be held at the Long Beach Library, 111 W. Park Ave., at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The forum was organized by the Beach to Bay Central Council and is expected to include representatives from the City of Long Beach and the offices of State Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos and Assemblyman Harvey Weisenberg.

Celebrating What’s Right

Approaching our day-to-day lives with an attitude of celebration isn’t always easy. Do we choose to see possibilities? Do we really believe they’re there? "Celebrating What’s Right With The World" uses stunning photography and powerful dialogue to help viewers approach their lives with celebration, confidence, and grace at the Long Beach Library at 2 p.m. Thursday. This is a short 22 minute documentary by  Monica Bennetta, a National Geographic photographer.

West End Holiday Bazaar

Eat drink and shop locally at the West End Holiday Bazaar at West End Bars and Restaurants on Saturday from 12 to 4 p.m.  Featuring handcrafted gifts from artists in Arts In The Plaza.

Recreation Holiday Show

The Recreation Holiday Show takes place at the Long Beach Middle School from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday and features a holiday themed puppet show, treats for kids and a special visit from Santa. The event is free.
