Long Beach’s annual Martin Luther King Day march will start at Laurelton Boulevard and West Park Avenue at 11:30 a.m. Monday. The march will proceed east on Park and end at the MLK Center, 615 Riverside Blvd., and will be followed by a celebration at the center. Monday’s event will honor Nelson Mandela and feature several speakers.

Facilities Utilization Forum
The Long Beach School District will hold a Facilities Utilization forum on the proposed options for repurposing the elementary schools at Long Beach Middle School, 235 Lido Blvd. in Lido Beach, at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

iStar Financial, the owners of the Superblock property at East Broadway between Riverside and Long Beach boulevards, will make a presentation for a proposed development on the parcel at the Park Sports Bar & Grill, 20 W. Park Ave., at 7 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Long Beach Herald.
Zoning Board Meeting

A psychologist and social worker from Long Beach Middle School will host a meeting called “Parenting in the Age of Social Media” at the 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Long Beach Library, 111 W. Park Ave.
L.B. Boxer Fights at MSG
Long Beach’s own “Irish” Seanie Monaghan will face Matt “The Predator” Vanda in a light heavyweight bout at Madison Square Garden on at 7 p.m. Saturday. Monaghan, the WBC Continental Americas Light Heavyweight Champion, remains undefeated at 19-0. The Park Sports Bar & Grill will hold a pre-party at 4 p.m.
