Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Service

  • In honor of Race Relations Sunday in the Presbyterian Church USA, The First Presbyterian Church of Levittown would like invite the community to attend a Martin Luther King Memorial Service honoring the legacy of preacher and civil rights activist, Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Jan. 19 from 4-6 p.m. at The First Presbyterian Church of Levittown.
  • This ecumenical and interfaith service will feature local gospel choirs and clergy speakers from the area.

Music in the Cathedral
  • Benjamin Sheen, Assistant Organist at Saint Thomas Church, Fifth Avenue, and recent Juillard graduate, is one of the UK's brightest young organists. He is the 2013 winner of the Pierre S. du Pont First Prize in the inaugural Longwood Gardens Organ Competition and also the winner of Second Prize at the St. Albans International Organ Competition 2013.  
  • He started his education as a chorister at St. Paul's Cathedral before studying at Eton College and, more recently, Christ Church, Oxford.  While an undergraduate, he held the position of Organ Scholar at Christ Church Cathedral.  Benjamin has performed throughout the UK and the USA, as well as in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
  • Suggested Donation: $15 general seating, $10 seniors, students and children admitted free.

  • Join us for this special ShopRite Kids event. Children are invited to stop by the floral department where we will be planting seedlings for children to care for during the winter months. 
  • Once planted we will keep them safe in our floral department. Water and care for your seedlings when you come shopping. 
  • Then bring them home in time for Earth Day and plant outside!
Death By Chocolate: Ladies Night Out at Earth Arts
  • Our once a year, chocolate themed snacks, and our infamous chocolate fountain night. Relax, create and hang with your ladies. 
  • All you pay is for what you paint.

Sunday Afternoon at the Mermaid Art Studio
  • Come create with us! Today's project is Sacred Magical Soul Cards and Altered Books.
  • A fascinating fusion of imagery, writing and self-exploration. Each participant will receive a repurposed book or a small wooden box with precut blank cards ready for expressing emotions, thoughts and dreams through collage, illustration, doodling, writing, and/or stitching. A project you can continue outside the studio on your own!
  • All materials included but we suggest you bring any personal photos, images, stickers, memorabilia, fabric, mementos and other ephemera you may wish to incorporate into your project. Basic drawing, painting, sewing and writing materials available.
