The Long Island Rail Road station in Long Beach is along a heavily traveled line that connects the South Shore of Nassau County to Queens, Brooklyn and Penn Station in Manhattan. The historic station on Park Avenue is conveniently located in the heart of Long Beach, near City Hall, Starbucks and Waldbaum's in the middle of the business district. Just a few blocks from the beach and the majestic Atlantic Ocean, it features an indoor waiting room and a convenience stand that has soda, snacks, magazines, tobacco products and newspapers. The station also has a two-story parking garage, and is next to a taxi stand and a city bus depot.
