Could this be related to all the real estate tax free PRIVATE homes that they have in LB? Maybe theRead More cops should look into that angle? Thats a few million dollars in uncollected taxes over the years. Comments please!
Leonard Bauman May 24, 2013 at 01:47 pm
The fact that someone lit the candle in the window when fleeing says the murderer is a fellowRead More Orthodox Jew very familiar with Jewish customs/traditions. The murderer is an inside person of the Yeshiva-- Rabbis/Rebbes, fellow students, Yeshiva employees/staff members, Yeshiva volunteers, outside strangers are very unlikely given the facts here. Inside job by an Orthodox Yeshiva person.

When the two US Senators from Oklahoma, Coburn & Inhofe refused to vote for the proposed postRead More Sandy aid package for Long Beach & the rest of this area we all said " wait until you need our assistance, & see what happens then". Well that time has arrived! But rather then spit in the faces of these two bast...s, we must help the folks in Oklahoma! But I still would like to spit on them!

Obama was on the air telling everyone how he would help these people, they need to know how ObamaRead More signed Biggert Waters and screwed us after Sandy. God bless these poor people they will need it after the Red Cross rolls out and they are left holding the bag. Sound familiar ?

Seriously? It is only a matter of time before all of it comes crumbling down; it has already takenRead More too long. Rescue Ink charity was disbanded by the courts and is now and has been registered as a FOR PROFIT for a long time. Checks made out to "Rescue Ink" with the intention of donating are deposited into a commercial bank account that funds many of the groups "public appearances" for which they also charge. Each accusation made against Rescue Ink (with supported documentation) Joe Panz has deflected throwing members under the bus. Many of the REAL RESCUER'S left once they realized that the monies were not going to the cause but to fund the club activities. Johnny is the first but I am sure there will be more. To review some of the court documents (legally obtained by FOIA) check out the FB page "Rescue Ink = the facts. When the Courts disbanded RI about 4 years ago the judge awarded all the dogs (Rebel included) to Pack Ethic where they had lived and been cared for without any of the donations made on the dogs behalf every being paid to them. Pack Ethic is a REAL rescue that RI had worked so hard to destroy to keep their secret. If you want to donate to a sanctuary that is the real deal, walks the walk, talks the talk please consider Eric Bellows and Pack Ethichttps://www.facebook.com/pages/Eric-Bellows/107769775917892?fref=ts. Over the years its been 100's of 1000's of donating monies that lined Joe Panz, Johnny Orlandini, and Big Ant's pockets. So frikkin' sad! Just see the difference between FB pages; one has dogs all over it with updates and the other has pictures of the "crew" at public appearances and motor cycle meets. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Rescue-Ink-The-Facts/536910909652516?fref=ts

Good. Now go after the other scam artists like Joe Panz who spends donated money on trips andRead More expensive trucks with lights and sirens. And Big Ant who is collecting disability on whose dime? And investigate the entire org which hasn't filed a 990 with the IRS in years. And find out why a dog named Buford and 2 cats drowned during Hurricane Sandy because these low lives could care less about evacuating the shelter. When the heck is the FBI going to get involved and charge them with conspiracy and wire fraud?

When you make a left turn from Broadway you must obey the signs and wait for a green light. EvenRead More without such a sign the oncoming car normally has the right of way.

I hear that Fagen was recently hired to oversee the boardwalk rebuilding. It's considered just aRead More temporary, part time position (like the City Council), so he can go back to receiving unemployment benefits.
barry greene May 13, 2013 at 08:42 pm
maybe the DA should be explaining why she spent $500,000 trying to recover $3000? maybe thoseRead More taxpayer dollars should have been considered first?
Beachguy May 10, 2013 at 10:52 pm
Is it true that he's going to operate one of the food trucks this summer? Near the parachute jump.Read More That way he will have some money to make restitution.
Mark May 10, 2013 at 12:26 pm
So let me ask one question. With all of those outstanding offenses, is Esvin Lemosalvizures behindRead More bars? Or was he issued another useless and meaningless Bench Warrant. What a joke!!
Michele Raimondi Edmonds May 16, 2013 at 10:46 am
Beware of Barry Minsky. He has been playing games with many people. I wish I would of known thisRead More information before we signed a contract with him in January. A week job has turned into months of aggravation. He should be ashamed of himself for taking advantage of people after Sandy.
Earthling May 6, 2013 at 01:23 pm
A crook is crook, with license or without. Most if not all contractors employ undocumented workers,Read More they don't pay them prevailing wages, which increases their profits. A site dedicated to exposing bad contractors should be up and running, maintain by the city, so city residents can be aware and make informed decisions. Expose them.
danny-boy May 6, 2013 at 01:10 pm
If they were a little smarter, they could have easily gotten a license; then they could have rippedRead More people off by grossly overcharging and doing unprofessional work.

Are you people on a witch hunt? Have you people dispensed with due process? Since when is anyoneRead More guilty without a trial? I knew Mrs.Ossandon as a proud mom and member of the PTA. Speaking for myself and not PDS, I did say innocent until proven guilty. But, lets not forget we doRead More know what he was charged with and commenting on a Civil Servants bloated pension, that in part has caused NC RE Tax to go through the roof over the last 15 years with no end in sight, is just calling it what it is. As the same time, sticking up for someone you know personally makes you biased. I doubt you will ever know all the facts, just the ones your friend/accused told you. Crusading for the Defendant through social media is a waste of time, let justice take its course and but out.
Lucy Centeno May 1, 2013 at 01:20 pm
Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. Innocent until proven guilty! We weren't there, so we don't know. I do, howeverRead More know him personally. I will not pass judgement until all the facts are in. And even then, I have no right to pass judgement. So all you stone throwers...........get a life! Jealous of his pension? Nosey? Oh, you are so much more perfect than the next person? OK, then off. Small mindedness is NOT becoming.
Tideline April 30, 2013 at 06:56 pm
Leonard $!00,000 plus Retirement Pension sounds like a 3/4 Disability Retirement ? Has the LBPDRead More Public information Officer released a statement about this ? Innocent until Proven Guilty and many of our other Rights, as we saw in Boston and here in N.Y. are no longer, this is the way of the future.

"actions are learned and passed on, from family" could not agree more with that, whatRead More does this following article tell us? Perhaps "Do as I bang on my keyboard and not as I failed to do"? http://tinyurl.com/cjh5ro7
Brendan April 26, 2013 at 11:24 am
Lucy, for once, I agree with (mostly) everything you just said. No one should be destroying,Read More defacing or disfiguring property that doesn't belong to them and if someone is found doing that, they should make restitution and be punished to whatever extent the rules allow for the offense. My point is that school discipline is a non-newsworthy subject matter and should simply be handled without this ridiculous and absurd fanfare.

We have really lost something as a society if angry teenagers who hate theirRead More teachers/principals/parents and say stupid things as a result of their hormones raging out of control are major news stories.

I have to say, I'm a student at North Shore Middle School and I've known Mr. K (that's what everyoneRead More calls him) since the third grade when he taught health for us. He's been nothing but nice to us and is such a great teacher and its obvious our other teachers like him. All my friends and other students know he would never do something like this, he's a smart guy with a fiance and he's not stupid enough to do something like this. I know the 7th graders who accused him of this and they're some stupid kids that can't be trusted. I heard that Mr. K said they couldn't do something or whatever and they got mad and made that up. I wouldn't be surprised, the kids have a bad rep for being trouble makers
AEA President April 17, 2013 at 03:13 pm
so the police arrested him without evidence?
Dave Sweeney April 15, 2013 at 09:38 pm
I have never read a more bizarre story in my life. Was I the only one that assumed that some form aRead More factual evidence was required to arrest an individual? If evidence existed against the teacher it would surely be in the story. Ask any IT professional K-12 LAN's are locked down very tight. This just did not happen as reported.
