@John. You're a funny guy. My premise that people would be coming to the beach even if we didn'tRead More give them a discount is "suspect" according to you while at the same time you've calculated the probability of sandwich smuggling and the incentive to return based on - "Gosh, I had the truck burger today, I'm coming back next week to get the truck sushi".

Charlie K et al. It says you have to have a mercantile license in Long Beach. Does that mean youRead More have to be a restaurant?

Isn't "good bank" an oxymoron? Banks stopped being good when they stopped giving toastersRead More away when you opened an account.

Good banks?? Ya gotta be kidding! They offer "great rates" of .005% on you savings and .5%Read More on CD's, and then have the balls to charge 19.99% on credit card interest. Forget the toasters and blenders. Gimme decent interest on MY money or I wont move it out from under my mattress. My gal and I personally keep Tutti Frutti in business. We basically live there. So I nominate themRead More for the best frozen yogurt and toppings variety and quality in all of L.B. And their 10% Off coupons help us pay our co-op fees.

Cannon Kickboxing can take any of you Crossfit fools. Boot to the head.
Chrissie H July 9, 2012 at 11:13 pm
Crossfit KOB is the best gym in LB for several reasons. First, the camaraderie is unmatched. HavingRead More been a member for only a month, I can say that no other gym has made me feel more welcome than this gym. Everyone knows your name; you have an instant support team who are just as excited as you are in reaching your goals, whether it's your first unassisted pull-up or a 295 back squat. Second, I am 41 and have already seen results! I had no idea it would happen this quickly. Last, I have never once looked at the clock and asked myself, "When is this going to be over?!" And as far as HAM HAND'S comment, you've given me one more reason to nominate my gym: a Crossfit KOB member would never say they'd give someone a "boot to the head" just because their gym wasn't getting as many nominations. Just sayin'!

After giving Himawari a shot I went back to Nagahama the other night. The roll selection and foodRead More are much better at Nagahama but the service is Himawari is much friendlier. I usually get 2 1/2 rolls...2 that I always get and then a half of a new type. The waitress took away my menu away after I told her I would be ordering more. It was very busy and since there was no room at the bar I sat at a table alone and as a former waitress I know it's a pet peeve (less people, less tip) and I felt like I was being rushed. Did anyone notice Yummy Yummy has an all you can eat sushi special? I might have to give them a shot next :)
Just wondering July 2, 2012 at 12:38 pm
Himawari......hands down, Jimmy is the best.
Dr.Sean Pastuch July 10, 2012 at 02:56 am
Himawari... similar food and people matter. Service at Himawari is great and so is the sushi.

Brand's Deli. Fresh food, homemade salads, cleanliness, and a friendly qualilfied staff able toRead More handle the long line of people waiting to order makes Brand's the best deli in LB. An tUasal Airgead June 28, 2012 at 12:58 pm
At 224 of New York’s 372 beaches, there were 1,841 closing and advisory days last year. ThatRead More was a 93 percent increase from 956 such days in 2010, a relatively clean year for state beaches. The report from the Natural Resources Defense Council, called “Testing the Waters: A Guide to Water Quality at Vacation Beaches” and released on Wednesday, found that a confluence of events — heavy rainfall, Hurricane Irene and a fire at a sewage treatment plant on the Hudson River in Harlem — had contributed to increased contamination of area beaches. The fire alone discharged 200 hundred millions gallons of raw sewage into New York area waters. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/06/28/nyregion/number-of-pollution-related-beach-closings-in-new-york-rose-sharply-in-2011.html

Hmm.. Pantano's is fantastic, It's totally different from Sorrento's (Though, if Oceanside wasRead More included I'd vote for Seven Brothers!!!! Hands Down That place's marinated meats, eggplant rollitini, olives, artichokes, pastas, OMG, They're facacia. . OMG. . sandwiches, (Wiping the drool from my chin) yes, if food-person marriage was legalized in the state of NY I would Marry everything within the walls of Seven Brothers. Back to Long Beach.. Sorrento's has the best pizza, but Pantano's makes Mish's wraps, chili dogs, and delicious waffle fries that kick (you know what) at parties.

Grow Up CP...on what basis are you calling me a loser because I expressed my opinion on what placesRead More I like? Too bad.
