Long Beach Coalition to Prevent Underage Drinking

Formed in 2000, the Long Beach Coalition to Prevent Underage Drinking is part of the Long Beach Medical Center'sMore substance abuse unit. The coalition works with various entities in the community, from the Long Beach Police Department to the Long Beach School District, on ways to address and prevent drinking, drug and other substance abuse among minors. Overlooking Reynolds Channel, Long Beach High School teaches some 1,395 students in grades 9 through 12, includingMore students from Island Park School District. The school has science and computer labs, art studios, bilingual and alternative school programs, and a swimming pool. Long Beach is one of a select few high schools on Long Island with an International Baccalaureate program. Principal Dr. Gaurav Passi is in his first year at LBHS.
