Looting, Theft Reported By Store Owners After Hurricane

Ray Bakhchi, owner of Kings Pharmacy said he thinks that his store was looted sometime during the eye of the storm Monday.

While he said he could not get into details as to what was stolen, Bakhchi said, "they did come in here and loot the place," as he pumped out water that flooded his West Beech Street store.

Bakhchi has security cameras with infrared technology and said he hopes this is helpful in identifying the suspect(s).

A manager at Danielle M., a woman's boutique shop, left her purse by the front door while she was cleaning up the store and said someone walked by and snatched it. She is now missing $180 and several credit cards.

Danielle Gill, the store's owner for 28 years, said she is worried about looting while the street lights are out and no alarms are working.

"I'm one of many with the same concerns."
