Long Beach Not One of NY's Top 12 Beaches

According to AAA Car & Driver, Long Beach is NOT one of the top 12 beaches in New York.

Those on the list:
The Rockaways, Queens
Hither Hills State Park, Montauk
Coopers Beach, Southampton
Coney Island, Brooklyn
Cumerbland Bay State Park, Plattsburgh
Main Beach, East Hampton
Million Dollar Beach, Lake George
Sandy Island Beach State Park, Pulaski
Jones Beach State Park, Wantagh
Fair Haven Beach State Park, Fair Haven
Orchard Beach, Bronx

Many of these beaches were completely devastated from Sandy along with Long Beach, yet we don't make the list.  Why didn't we make the cut?  Is it the lack of amenities?  The $12 per person price tag?  No boardwalk?
