Democratic Team Inducted to City Council, Court

Incumbents Scott Mandel and Eileen Goggin and newcomer Anthony Eramo, all Democrats who garnered the most votes in the at-large election for three open seats on the Long Beach City Council last November, were sworn in as members of the council during an induction ceremony at City Hall on New Year’s Day.

Mandel, who served as council president thorough 2013, and Goggin, who was appointed to the council last February after former councilman Michael Fagen resigned, were the two top vote-getters and earned four-year terms, while Eramo, who ran in his first election, earned a two-year term as the third vote-getter in the at-large election. City Court Judge Roy Tepper, a Democrat who won re-election in November and a 10-year term, was sworn into his seat that he has held for more than 30 years.

Wednesday's induction ceremony is available to view at the City of Long Beach's website here.
